I started drawing, painting, and writing illustrated stories when I was about 4 or 5 years old; it was something I was just naturally driven to do!

From the beginning, animals were my muses. I thumbed wide-eyed through dog & cat breed books, identified birds & butterflies that visited the yard, chose pet goldfish with unusual enthusiasm, and, when I was especially lucky, found a stray kitten to bring home – the ultimate treasure. My artwork always featured the creatures that captivated me most.
Although I graduated from UMASS Dartmouth with
a writing/communications degree, I wanted to pursue a career
creating my whimsical animal characters. I took Children’s
Book Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design and researched
the industry of professional illustration while building my
portfolio. Later, I promoted my work locally by selling self-printed
greeting cards at specialty shops, and now promote it worldwide
by exhibiting at the Licensing International & SURTEX
tradeshows in New York City.
Most of my art is rendered with watercolor &
watercolor pens. However, I’ve recently delved into
computer-generated design with which I can create faster and
edit more freely, while maintaining the look of my style.
Below you'll find the list of companies I've licensed my designs to, as well as the corresponding
products. I'm now exploring additional venues for my designs,
and welcome the opportunity to forge new, exciting licensing
partnerships!
